Anthony "Tony" Signore, 94 a longtime resident of Ambler, died Monday in the Delaware Valley Veterans Home in Philadelphia.
Born in Minturno, ITALY, he was the son of the late Gennaro and Victoria Tucciarone Signore. Mr. Signore was preceded in death by his wife Mary T. (nee Mallozzi) Signore in June of 2010, and his daughter Angela T. Signore in 1980.
He served in the US Army during World War II.
He was a Clothing Cutter at Puritan Clothing in Lansdale prior to his retirement in 1980.
Mr. Signore was a member of St. Anthony Of Padua Church in Ambler, St. Alphonsus Seniors, The Downs Amey American Legion Post # 10 in Ft. Washington, Knights of Columbus Notre Dame Council, and served as an advisor to the Boy Scouts and Explorers.
He is the devoted father of daughter Victoria T. Henson and her husband James of Ambler, and Gennaro "Gerry" A. Signore of Ambler. Tony is the loving Grandfather of Stephen Stanek of Florida.
Relatives and Friends may call Monday Aug. 24, 2015 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at St. Anthony Of Padua Church 259 Forest Ave Ambler with a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Msgr. Stephen McHenry as Celebrant. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Norristown.
