Paul Kapustik
June 29, 1919 - January 31, 2010

Paul Kapustik, 90, died Sunday, January 31, 2010, at Sauer Memorial Home in Winona, MN. Paul was born June 26, 1919, in Creighton, PA, to John and Ann Kapustik. Paul served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Barbara Palen who preceded him in death early in their marriage. He married Charlotte Nelton who preceded him in death on February 24, 1998. Paul was a longtime police officer for the city of Winona. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion in Winona.
Survivors include three children, Patricia (Utah) Haley of Ukiah, CA, Mike Kapustik of Winona, MN, and Mary Singer of Winona, MN; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara, second wife, Charlotte, sons, Joseph and Paul Jr., brothers, John and Martin, and sisters, Ann and Mary.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6th, at 11:00 am at Hoff Funeral and Cremation Service Hansen Goodview Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion of Winona immediately following the service outside the funeral home on Saturday. A reception will held at the funeral home at the completion of military honors.
Memorials may be directed to the American Legion Post 9 of Winona.

"I just found out by doing a 'Kapustik' search that my Grandpa died. I didn't get to know him too much as my dad, (Paul, Jr.) died when I was 3 years old. I just want to sent out much sympathy and love to all family and friends of Grandpa. I love you all very much!"
