"I am a cousin of Alice's. My parents John and Elsie Oevering were sister of her mothers. We visited with Alice when we were to the cemetaries of my parents when she was getting ready to move to St. Ann's. She was going to look to find some geonology for me and I did not hear from her since. We are so sorry for the passing of Alice and will miss visiting with her when we come to Winona. God Bless the entire family. Sincerely Ray and Elizabeth Oevering Benedett"
"Dear family of Alice I worked with Alice at Sauer Memorial and thought she was the nicest, kindest and most patient person. Alice helped train me in as a nursing assistant back in the summer of 1981and made me feel so welcome during my working day. I remember Alice talking about her daughter Becky and grand children Allison and Amber with such great pride. I had the pleasure to meet Alice's daughter Becky several years later and we became fast and long time friends. Through Becky I had a chance to see Alice from time to time and she was as lovely and gracious as always. Alice was a real lady, gentle and sweet. I know she will be greatly missed by family and friends. God, Bless Alice's family for they are in my thoughts and prayers. With the utmost respect and adimiration for Alice, Candis Hitchcock"
"Sharon, Gary and Family, Mary and I want to send our deepest sympathy. I Know how hard the loss must be to you having been there myself. God Bless Dave Hilton"
""Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love. This is how God showed His love among us: he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him. This is love: not that we loved God, but that He loved us..." (1 John 4:7-10) I love Grandma because she first loved me. I am so thankful that God gave me such a wonderful grandma. She was "love" to me. The memories I have of her are endless. I only wish I could have more with her to share.... She was loved by many because she loved so many. We will all miss her dearly! We love you so much grandma! Love always, Allison"
"Alice and I worked together at Sauer. What a wonderful caring person she was. Myself, Shirley Zenk and Sally (Meyer) Wobig would go to see Alice at her house for coffee quite often years ago. We all had a great time talking about work and the girl gossip thing. The last contact, other than Christmas cards, was when my nephew had bought the Blue Ford from Ernie and Alice. I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed. You are all in my prayers."
"My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I enjoyed caring for Alice when she was in her own home and at Callista Ct. She was always very pleasant and enjoyable to talk with. She will be missed by many of us from Winona County PHNS."
"Alice and Ernest were good people who cared deeply about their children. I last saw Alice sitting alone at McDonalds. As she waved to me, I sensed that she was lonely. I pray that she is with Ernest, her parents, her brothers and sisters and Kari and that loneliness is no more. Don Doerr Sr."
"Keith, Becky, Allison and Amber, I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you have the chance to be together this weekend and share lots of memories of the wonderful times you shared with your mother/grandmother. Warm hugs to you all and know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love Heather (Wolf), Cory, Noah and Molly Everson."
