"This tribute to Ignatius is really beautiful. I am so sorry for the familys' loss. Yes, Ignatius you were a unique fellow. Almost twenty-one years ago, it was our car that broke down in the middle of the night with a three month old baby. It was a kind custodian at the rest stop,Ignatius and his wife Ruth, that took us in, fed us, helped get our car to the shop and back on our way. This story had been told many times. Not too many like Ignatius and Ruth, for taking in total strangers. I am so glad that we've kept in contact throughout the years. I am thankful that Paige and I had the opportunity to make a surprise visit several years back. Paige, now, had faces to go with the story.
Charles, Thank-you. --Lisa"

"Losing a loved one is very difficult. No words can express what I'm feeling. I'm sure many of you have had the same sorrow.
Dad was one of those hard working Fathers that always got his way. His words were law in our home. I use to fear him, but never thought he was teaching me a valuable life lesson, "Standing up for what you believe in". As I grew older I understood why he was so strick, we thought, but it was only because he cared. Dad was a compassionate & kind person. The most important thing that he had was his family. Though he may not have said it much, he was very proud of us all. We are who we are because we had a Father like him. To his friends he was a kind person & was always ready to help. He always had a solution to every problem & had his way of making things simple. When he helped he simply helped. Like when he brought a young couple w/ a baby home because their car broke down in sub zero weather. Total strangers, put them up for the night in our home and made them feel like family. He showed strength until the end but felt so bad that he could not help Mom like he did for so many years. I hope his simple life will be an inspiration to us all. He loved his family, had a relationship with God, enjoyed helping others and was humorous. We should be happy for him, no longer in pain and he went home to be with our Father in Heaven."
