"Jesse was a wonderful young man, and he will be greatly missed by us all. I am so sorry for your lose"
WINONA
A talented, creative, and fun-loving young man, Jesse Cisewski was a blessing in the lives of his family and friends. He was an amazing artist from his earliest years, and his future in the world of art was certainly bright. As his family and friends can attest, Jesse loved nothing more than heading out on the open road, often with his car packed full of friends. He was a fantastic brother who always joked that he suffered from middle child syndrome. Jesse was a deep thinker who wasn't afraid to form his own thoughts or to stand up for the things he believed in. Although he will be deeply missed, his memory will be forever held near to the hearts of his numerous friends and loved ones.
The nineties were an exciting time in America. Atlanta, Georgia, saw the excitement of the 1994 Summer Olympics while mergers became commonplace in the world of business. The Spice Girls, Boyz II Men, and Alanis Morisette were big names in music, and with the birth of the World Wide Web in 1992 the way we shopped, the way we entertained ourselves, and the way we kept in touch with the world around us was forever transformed. Amidst this exciting time was the year 1997 that was filled with great anticipation for a young couple from Winona, Minnesota, as they were eagerly awaiting the birth of their second child as the freshness of spring set in. Their big day finally arrived when the healthy baby boy they named Jesse made his debut. He was the middle of three boys born to his parents, Robert John and Jennifer Marie (McCorquodale) Cisewski, and he weighed in at seven pounds, six ounces. Joined in his family by his older brother, Jake, the Cisewski family later welcomed one additional boy, Hunter, into the fold. Jesse was a happy baby who always seemed to be smiling. He loved to make goofy expressions and gestures.
In many ways Jesse experienced an upbringing that is fairly typical for young boys of his generation. He was baptized at St. Michael's Church in Fountain City as an infant. Jesse and his brothers could often be found playing together outside making miniature cities in the dirt. He also enjoyed riding his four wheeler and swimming with his brothers. On the rainy days you'd find him playing with legos and lincoln logs.
All who knew Jesse would agree that he had a special way about him that made him unforgettable. He was always polite as he regularly opened doors for people when he was just a young kindergartner. Even his teachers remarked about Jesse's impressive manners throughout his life.
As a student Jesse attended local schools. He went to Goodview Elementary School through first grade, then was on to Ridgway Elementary through fourth grade, and fifth and sixth grades found him at Winona Middle School. His education continued at Bluffview Montessori School through the eighth grade. This was the school he loved most, and he had a great group of friends there, too. Jesse would have loved to continue there if it had been offered as an option. Most recently he had completed his junior year at Winona Senior High School and was on track to graduate with the class of 2015.
One of Jesse's greatest gifts was his talent as an artist. He was a lefty whose drawings were unforgettable because he drew in such detail - nothing ordinary to be sure. Jesse's future as an artist was promising as he could have attended an art school and perhaps had a job as a graphic designer or a cartoonist.
As he got a bit older Jesse continued to pursue the things he enjoyed. He was into hunting both deer and duck, and he often just worked to perfect his skills with target shooting. Jesse was an animal lover whose family included his dogs, Yodie and Snoopy and usually a couple of indoor/outdoor cats, with his favorite being Lizzy. He also had some bunnies, fish, a gecko, and guinea pigs while he was growing up. He loved video games like World of Warcraft, and he also liked various television shows including Family Guy, SpongeBob SquarePants, Breaking Bad, and The Walking Dead. Jesse was a music enthusiast who enjoyed anything as long as it wasn't too much country. His specific preferences were rather diverse, too, as The Beatles and Eminem were among his favorites, and music really seemed to speak to him as he often looked up the lyrics and then memorized the words.
It was a day of celebration for Jesse when he turned 16 as he was thrilled to get his license. He simply loved driving. His first car was a Jeep Grand Cherokee but because of the gas mileage, he got an Oldsmobile Aurora that was a "real beater" . Jesse's dad always told him that if the horn didn't work he could just use his middle finger! He did get into a couple of fender benders, but according to Jesse they were never his fault. He frequently locked his keys in his car, backed into a post, and hit a deer on two occasions. It was all fine with Jesse, however, as he just loved driving around. His parents can certainly attest to his love for driving as he burned through more gas than they could have ever imagined he would. Jesse was rarely in a hurry and enjoyed taking the scenic route wherever he was going. Just last Tuesday his parents helped him buy a sporty 2001 red two-door Eclipse, which he was proud of. Of course his friends all packed into the car, which wasn't the most comfortable thing since their heads always hit the ceiling every time Jesse hit a bump.
Jesse worked at various odd jobs as he got older. He often worked with his grandparents at both Winona Homes and Mikrut Properties doing janitorial and maintenance type work. Jesse also used his artistic talents to create safety posters.
Described as kind, softhearted, and funny, Jesse Cisewski was vibrant and fun-loving with several friends whom he loved being around. He was a bit of an activist who could form his own opinions when it came to government and both political and world issues. Jesse was a social network user who always read Reddit to help shape his thoughts in regard to the things he was passionate about. A loving son, devoted brother, and loyal friend, Jesse will never be forgotten.
