"My memory of Cynthia is that her and mom used to write one another and whenever Cynthia was in Burlington she would stop by and they would have a great visit. Mom had talked about wanting to become a nurse but did not have the opportunity so she was very proud of Cynthia going through nursing school. Plus who can ever forget the family reunions?? They are probably all having one at this very moment!! A very sweet, kind hearted and caring person and a hard worker. RIP! Vickie (DeHague) Starr"

"Cynthia I always appreciated your phone calls when you would be in Milwaukee visiting Cathy! And I will never forget the day I called you to drive to Houghton to stay with mom when she was told it was unsafe to be alone and would have to enter Hospice care. You dropped everything and drove to stay with her until I could get there. I have a beautiful picture of you and Mom, you both knew it would be the last time you would see each other. You were a good friend to mom and a nurse to the very end. May I extend my most sincere sympathy to your family."
