"My Grandmother was the most loving, non-judgemental person I have ever had the pleasure to know. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone even when they deserved it. She was patient and tolerant. She was a goddess in the kitchen, I will never forget her pumpkin pie, apple pie, floating custard islands or her plum dumplings. She had an affinity for growing plants and always knew just what plant to use to make you feel better. I can still feel her combing my hair and putting up before school, even though I was thirteen years old. I miss her hugs, and feeling the soft skin just above her elbow. I am so glad my daughter got to know for a few years, but I am so sorry Olivia and Leo will never get to know their super great-grandmother. She is loved and missed.
A Dream Within a Dream
By Edgar Alan Poe
Take this kiss upon the brow!
And, in parting from you now,
Thus much let me avow --
You are not wrong, who deem
That my days have been a dream;
Yet if hope has flown away
In a night, or in a day,
In a vision, or in none,
Is it therefore the less gone?
All that we see or seem
Is but a dream within a dream.
I stand amid the roar
Of a surf-tormented shore,
And I hold within my hand
Grains of the golden sand --
How few! yet how they creep
Through my fingers to the deep,
While I weep -- while I weep!
O God! Can I not grasp
Them with a tighter clasp?
O God! can I not save
One from the pitiless wave?
Is all that we see or seem
But a dream within a dream?"

"In the blink of the eye, I never got to say goodbye, like a shooting star flying across the sky, so fast and so far.
They say there's a reason why..... The angels in heaven need it you to walk and dance with them .
They say time will heal..... One thing I know you won't be forgotten.
You have left a beautiful legacy behind .

"I will always remember Miu in the kitchen, cooking one of her delicious desserts or having a deep political or spiritual discussion with a close friend over a cup of coffee and a cigarette. She enjoyed the simple things in life, but she was anything but simple. She was beautiful, intelligent, a magnificent cook, had an amazing green thumb, and a kind gentle soul.
I miss her stories, her cooking, and the way she loved us all in her own quiet way."
Doina wrote on Mar 10, 2016:
"My mom was a sweet and gentle lady. She loved everybody, and everybody found it impossible not to love her back. She was always busy cooking and baking for us, and always trying to help us feel better with herbal remedies she studied avidly. Se loved dogs all her life, and after her retirement she loved bird watching. She will be terribly missed by all of us who loved her so much. "

"My mom was pure light and love. I am most fortunate to have been her daughter. She loved everybody."
