Katherine L. Keating, 68, passed away Friday, April 1, 2016 at I. U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 2, 1947 to Chester and Jeanette Mason.
Katherine retired from Ball Memorial Hospital having worked as a transcriptionist for 32 years.
She was a member of the Master Pond and Gardeners Club and enjoyed traveling, nature, and was an advocate for sea turtle preservation and animal rights. Katherine also loved her time with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Troy (fiance' Julia) Tuttle and Bradford (Marty) Keating; daughters, Christina (Jason) Swoveland, Tina Keating-Snodgrass, and Nicole Keating; brothers, Jack (Vickie) Mason and David (Traci) Mason; sister, Shirley (Will) McCormick; 12 grandchildren, Travis, Brandon, Myah, Peyton, Miles, MaKayla, Lindsay, Devin, Joseph, Tristan, Jesse, and Devlin; 3 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Bradford Keating and her parents, Chester and Jeanette Mason.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 6, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Elm Ridge Funeral Home, 4600 West Kilgore Avenue, Muncie, Indiana 47304.
Services will be at the funeral home on Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.
