I personally will never forget the last few months that we spent talking, texting, and emailing constantly; just the chance I got to reconnect and see first hand what an amazing woman you had become. I will always remember the happiness you had as you planned your wedding, unfortunately we will never get to see the beautiful bride I know you would have been. Even more so, I know what a wonderful mother you would have been down the road. You absolutely loved the children you worked with, and it pains me that your mom will never get to see you have children of your own. We still cannot believe how you were taken from us, but I, along with everyone who loved you, are completely lost without you....our hearts are breaking. I promise to be here for your mom and dad, and the rest of the cousins as much as possible. Love, Your pseudo cousin...Lindsay"

"I can not believe we are 29 and I am writing this. Susan always wanted us to hold onto 16 as long as you can. There are 2 things that are keeping me going. Susan wants us to laugh and remember all the funny moments with her. The other is that Susan lived 29 very full years. The places you traveled Susan, the people you met, the people you made laugh, the people you made smile, the example of living live to the fullest that you set for others, and most importantly the way your heart was genuine and generous. I have never known anyone to have 5.00 dollars to their name, and want to give me 10.00 dollars for my birthday. That was Susan. I need her here. "

She always had a smile and a positive attitude that projected onto the children. We have often said that our children, especially Tressa, who spent half of her life with her, are happy children, and that Susan played a big part in it. She has helped to mold the lives of Jacob, Tressa, and Kyle and we are forever grateful for that. It was obvious that she adored our children and they fell in love with her. "Our family has been blessed to have Susan care for our children for the past year and a half. She answered our add in search of a job she could do while going to graduate school. During the interview process she was heads above the rest not just b/c of her college degree but for her natural curiosity regarding child behavior and development. I always called her my "over qualified nanny." She took much interest in observing my children and reflecting on their developing personalities. She would always compare what one of them had done with her own siblings, reflecting equally as much on each of them. It was very obvious how much she loved her family and respected how her parents had raised them. Over the past year and half we have come to love Susan as part of our family . I really felt she truely loved our children and they loved her. She played with them, made them laugh, taught them, wiped their runny noses, keep them safe, as well as disciplined when needed. I really trusted her with my children, and felt that she cared for and taught them as she would of her own. What I always liked best is her positivity, always working to help build their self-esteem and the way she made them always use their mannors and be nice to each other, teaching them respect. My little girl has a "quite bubbly" personality and I am sure she has had a hand in that. She was a very giving person person with a huge heart. I am sure she would have been a great mother. I thank her from the bottom of my heart for taking such great care of my children. She has touched our lives in many ways. She will be deeply missed. With deepest sympathy to all her family and friends. The Beach FamilyBeth, Jeff, Jacob (5), Tressa (3), and Kyle (5 mo.)"
