"Nancy and family: I remember Ted during our grade school through Anderson High School years, and then graduating together in the class of 1955. My wife and I sat with you, Nancy, and Ted at the same table at our last AHS reunion. I recall Ted during our youth years as being a very good friend and fine person. He also helped AHS win the state championship in golf during those years. Peace and blessings to your entire family during this time of bereavement."

"Dear Nancy, Ted was a very good friend. Often we visited, especially when we were together at CCI. He had such natural grace and kindness. Always he showed genuine interest in our family. He was a leader, a gentleman, and a splendid American, all of which he consistently displayed in his exemplary manner and conduct. "Nancy,Linda and I want to express our deepest regrets and condolences to you and your family. It is hard for me to believe that my oldest and best friend is gone. It only seems like yesterday that I was honored to stand up at your wedding. You have had such a wonderful marriage and life together.I am not very good at expressing my feelings at this time because I cannot believe someone so full of life is gone. I can only hope that I can be as brave when it is my time.Linda is convinced that Ted's and your prayers for her recovery during her ordeal with breast cancer was a major reason why she survived. Our prayers are now are with you.I will write to express my thoughts better when time has helped heal the wounds I now feel.Your friend Gene"
