David E. Schnorr
82, of Indianapolis died April 27, 2008. Mr. Schnorr was an attorney with the law association of Schnorr, Maier, Olvey, and Freihofer. Born in Piqua, Ohio, he enlisted in the US Navy during WWII, attending Yale University with the Navy V-12 program and serving in Guam with Surface Operations. He served during the Korean War in Portland Oregon with Military Sea Transportation and was in the Navy Reserve until June 1961.
Mr. Schnorr graduated from the University of Dayton in 1949. He moved his family to Indianapolis in 1954 where he began work for Indianapolis Power and Light and attended the Indiana University School of Law. Mr. Schnorr was a member of the Indiana, Indianapolis, and American Bar Associations, the Service Club of Indianapolis, Sertoma Club, the Downtown Rotary Club, and a long-time supporter of the Indianapolis Colts.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Alice; his sister Patricia Carr of Mason, OH;
four children and their spouses: Cynthia and Michael O?Connell of Indianapolis; Teresa Schnorr and Paul Muller of Cincinnati OH; Jeffrey Schnorr and Kerin Quigley of South Orange, NJ; and Michael Schnorr and Lisa Wexler of Heath MA; and 10 grandchildren.
Friends may call from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 30 at the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 1 at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 4100 E. 56th Street, Indianapolis.
