"Belcher Family,I have known Chris since elementary school and graduated with him from Carmel High School. He was always happy and outgoing since I can remember. Him and I weren't ever close, but I could call him a friend. I remember he sat next to me in our senior english class, and he was always the first to say hi and ask me how I was doing and occasionally tell me a joke to make me laugh. We often talked about swimming for him, and dance for me, and often got in trouble for talking so much! He was a wonderful man from 1st grade all the way up through college. Most importantly, he loved his teammates and his family dearly and would do anything to help them. As a coach, it was a tremendous advantage for our program to go into a competition with Chris and his toughness and incredible intensity on our side. I recently saw Chris during the 2007-2008 Christmas Break. He came over to Fishers to swim for a few days and we had several long coversations about life where we've been and where we were going. I have known him for years and we were great friends. I still remember the day i called him in need of a little help when my car was wrecked. He came in a hurry to make sure i was ok and that i could make it to work. That evening he picked me up from work and took me dinner only because he knew i was under some serious stress. I told him i owed him one and never got to return the favor...he will always be in my heart..and will be missed..."
