"Hello. My name is Kim and I have just received a cornea transplant to restore my vision and was told my donor was a 47 year old white male that had passed due to injuries in a automobile accident. That of course is all the information that was given to me. Was Steve a organ donor? If so, I beleive he is possibly my donor and I would like to give great thanks and blessings to his family for I am able to see again because Steve was so caring as to be an organ donor. My thoughts and prayers go out to Steve's family. May God comfort and bless you. With love, Kim K."

"Mrs. Steven Kuntz (Maggie), Mr. and Mrs. Kuntz, and your family and friends, please accept our humble condolences on your recent loss. I was heartened to read the many wonderful comments regarding Steve. We shared and crossed paths many years ago in Ft. Wayne. I am saddened that I did not have the chance to see him recently, as he was to have met my sister Susan for lunch and planning for the coming reunion or some activity. I know now that he never lost his wit, spirit, and collegial charm. No doubt, qualities that will keep him close to all in this time of loss. May he rest peacefully, and your hearts keep him close."

"Maggie, Simon, Caroline and the Kuntz family,I thought that I would share with you a recent phone conversation I had with Steve. He called me the day after the Presidential Elections to talk about the upcoming Wayne HS class reunion. I had not talked with Steve for nearly 20 years, but it was as though we had just left high school. Steve really had a gift for connecting with people and putting them at ease. Simon and Caroline, Steve also talked to me briefly about you as well. It was so apparent from our conversation that the two of you meant everything to him. He was so proud of you. I was also amazed at how excited he was about the election and his hope for change. Steve seemed to have retained his youthful altruism, enthusiasm and hope when so many others his age have adopted a cynical view of the world. Steve really was a wonderful, decent, loving man who left his mark on so many. He will be missed dearly. We pray that the love and pride that you have for Steve will fill your hearts and help to blunt your pain and suffering at his loss. With our deepest condolences. "
"Dear Charlie and Joan,Our sincere condolences to you both. We cannot imagine your pain but we hope that the fond memories remain forever in your hearts."

He was a great guy and someone I remember fondly in a very often lonely time. I am happy to hear he devoted so much of his time to you. God be with you. "
