I was fortunate enough to be able to have a long conversation with her to talk about our lives, the cancer, and to let her know how she touched my life. You see my husband passed away from cancer and Chris reached out when he was diagnosed and after he passed away to and talked with me about it from the cancer patient perspective.....we talked about many things and she helped me understand how the cancer patient feels and at the end of that conversation I was able to tell her what an inspiration she had always been to me and that I loved her. One of the most important things to her was the quality time she could spend with "her boys" and as long as she felt well enough she was going to spend every minute enjoying them. May God bless you and help you during this most difficult time. Like many others, Chis made an imprint on our lives that we will never forget.......and I'm certain her special qualities will live on in "her boys". Chris lived with such dignity.....may she rest in eternal peace."

Simply, I remember this about Chris...her smile, her way of always seeming as if the world was having fun because she let it, that meals were times of joy and wipeouts on seadoos were just an excuse to lay in the hammock and feel the breeze in the trees, smell the wood of the cabin. watch everyone enjoy life on the dock, with a fishing pole in hand, or making Romanian potato salad in the kitchen,. These are things that I won't miss because she is no longer here in this life, because she is in a happier play, but because she gave us so much more than memories, she gave us her soul. As friends and family we experienced something special. we experienced a woman who showed us the meaning of not being selfish, but rather living her life with giving us gifts of joy, and happiness, love, caring, and understanding, each and every day. And rather than cry and morn her passing, we should embrace the gifts she gave us, and carry on those precious gifts each day. We were blessed for a short amount of time by someone who taught us how to care for others before one another. That lesson has no timeframe in life. That lesson was passed on to us to quickly, but complete. As I am unable to travel to the service this week, I hope all of you take a moment to recognize Chris for what she gave each of us in this life, and that each of will continue to provide her love to those most dear to us, and we will never forget how preciously we were taught to be better souls because of Chris. God Bless each and every one of you, and God Bless the Bayley and Bennett Families as they accept the loss of their loved one. I know my family and I will pray silently. But, let this be know, I'll never forget how her and kim scared the living sh__t out of Mike, Dana, and I with those masks on Halloween one year. It still haunts me, although with a little smile now.
