"I first met Marci when I interviewed her to take my place as Murray's secretary at Feiwell & Hannoy. She accepted the job offer and I trained her . She was the only one after me that would last any length of time with him...and you all know why!Marci was so much fun! I had 2 teen-aged daughters at the time, and Marci eventually house-sat for me while I was on vacation and watched my girls, Christy and Cheryl. Marci was old enough for me to entrust with this and she was "young" enough for my daughters, who really liked her.I remember that Marci loved babies, TV show ER and George Clooney, Danielle Steele books, and had started a video library of all the Disney releases for her nieces and nephews. She was an independent, homey type, and loved to burn Yankee candles....and she hated bananas. I remember when she ordered a brand new red Pontiac. When I turned 40 while at Feiwell, she had one of her sisters (Lisa I think?) make my "tombstone" birthday cake. Ironic now that I think about it.I finally, successfully left Feiwell in 1996. We talked for a while after that and met a couple of times to go to a movie. Sadly, as often happens, we drifted apart. I ran into her at a Castleton movie theater last summer, and all was well.I was shocked 10 days ago to hear about her illness. I had no idea. I then contacted 8 people who worked with Marci and me at Feiwell, and, sadly, only one other person knew about Marci's condition. Word had just not gotten out to us. All of us were shocked and saddened. I went to hospice the next day. Unfortunately, she was not lucid. I wish I had known earlier so that I could have told her while she was still conscious how great she was and how much I appreciated what she did for me and my daughters. Other old co-workers expressed they wished they had known earlier also. Maybe Marci didn't want this circulated. I don't know. But we did still love and care for her even though we may not have been in recent contact. My daughters, Christy & Cheryl, are now 34 (the same age I was when I started working at Feiwell (scary thought) & 32. Christy has 2 little girls, Madeline 6 and Lauren 4. Cheryl has 2 little boys, Jacob 2 and Joey 5 months. They were very sad to hear this news as they also remember Marci very well. When each of my girls married, I created a cookbook for them full of recipes from friends. Marci's lasagna is in both of those books and is a favorite in each of those homes.Feiwell was a difficult place to work but there were some really good people there, like Marci. I understand that when she left Feiwell, she went to an absolutely wonderful employer. Good for her.I cannot think of Marci without thinking about children. The photo here is beautiful and really captures Marci's spirit. Though it was not listed, I am making a donation to SmileTrain, a non-profit organization that helps children with cleft palates. I think Marci would have approved.May she rest in peace. Becky Ketchum12782 Whisperwood WayFishers, IN 46037317.773.3498"

"I would like to send my thoughts & prayers to Marci and her family. I was shocked to hear about this! As soon as I heard I sent a prayer to my sister & my mom asking them to be sure to greet her in heaven! I know your mom was there to welcome her home, but I thought mom & Deb could give her more "Elwood" support. "May the Lord Bless you and keep you, May the Lord make his face shine upon you, and give you Peace...Forever"."

"I met Marci when we both worked at Feiwell & Hannoy. We became good friends and did lots of things together over the 21 years knowing each other. She and I would go on trips with my sister, Kim and her husband Joe. We went to Nashville, TN, went camping when they had their camper. I loved her sense of humor. I remember one time we camped and, back then, it was a long ritual for me to take my make off at the end of the day. I would use so many cotton balls and toilet paper to take it off. One night, I was sitting outside with Kim & Joe, waiting for Marci to come out and then here she comes, laughing and yelling "

"There has been a place in heaven prepared for you since the beginning. Now, not only will I have Rita watching over me, but you as well. We met not long after coming into the world, and, yes, I hate to admit it, but I was older (all of 6 months). Our families have always been close. Now you will be directing garage performances AND Broadway plays from above! Here on earth we will continue to tell our countless Marcia stories. We couldn't have had better neighbors. What a blessing of an environment to grow up in the midst of! No guy in the neighborhood could catch her, though she was chased a LOT! She is loved dearly by many. She lived her life in such a way that no one will be lying at her funeral. And hearts will be crying for the many lost opportunities. The Levi's are better for having you in our life's path! Our love and prayers are wih all of you! Eternal rest grant unto you Marcia McQuitty, and let perpetual light shine upon you!"

"My thoughts and prayers go out to the McQuitty family and to all her many friends who will greatly miss Marci. I too worked with her during the ten years she was at F&H and have many fond memories of her and the stories of her family that she shared with us. I looked forward each year to the new school pictures of her nieces and nephews that she would update and display at her desk. I can still hear her laughter. Her picture posted here is how I remember her. We stayed in contact for a few years, but as time passed by, we lost touch. I will never forget the thoughtful and kind person Marci was and how blessed I am to have known her. "

There are no words of comfort offered at this time that can sooth our broken hearts; only the belief that Marci is at peace, walking streets of Gold with our Almighty Father, and all of those who have gone before her. Heaven is such a wonderful reward for the life we have lived. I am sure Marci is sitting at the side of Jesus, Loving, watching and protecting all of us here on earth. "I had the pleasure of working with Marci during my tenure at Midwest Controls. We worked closely together on the Lincoln Motors account which was no easy task (some who read this will know what I'm talking about). Usually under extremely trying and difficult circumstances, she always found a way to work things out and make it better; always with a laugh at the end. Although we lost touch once I left the company, I always held Marci in the highest regard as a coworker and more importantly as a friend. She had a special way with people, and she always talked lovingly of her siblings and their families. I offer my sincerest condolences to Marci's family and her many friends. My prayers are with you at this very difficult time."

She had a great sense of humor and even when she was no longer verbal she still communicated with her eyes. Some of the faces she would make were her way of letting us know her feelings. Marcia had such a great support system with family and friends always at her bedside. It was a pleasure meeting many of you. May you all find comfort in knowing that Marcia is no longer suffering. "I am very saddened to see this so late. I have often-ed thought of Marcie as I had the privileged of doing her hair. I met her when I opened my salon right behind Mid west Controls on Conner St. I was shocked to hear about her right after she was diagnosed, as it was only about a 1 or 2 weeks prior, that I had seen her and did her hair before her vacation. I know how much she loved her family and children as she always loved my 3 children esp Daniel. When he was born she used to come over and take him back to her office, and to this day he still remembers Miss Marci even after she moved. He still comments about Miss Marci used to work there and after they moved we would go and visit her and bring her some of her favorite cookies and she would always make sure he had a piece of candy. My daughters Kathryn & Rachael would also like to go visit her, when they were not in school and she would hang their art work in the windows.I also always think of Mari when I see Survivor as I know how much she enjoyed that show.My deepest sympathy is with you, her family, as I know how close she was to all of you and I know I have lost a friend. Sincerely Mary Lupacchino "
