We were lucky that we kept bumping into Charlie over the years, and we go back many years. Charlie was our friend from the early 80's when he worked with me at the Eagle Creek Marina. He taught me to sail and how to repair boats. We had alot of fun together in those days. I remember taking him and his friend Pat on their first backpacking trip. I recommended Charlie to replace me as the marina manager when I left because I thought so highly of his skills and personal qualities. Charlie did some volunteer work at Jane's school and often through chance meetings like that we were able to see him and catch up with each other. We shall always remember him as a mellow person with a unique mix of talents and interests. And he had a wonderful way of showing attention to the people he was with.
