In loving memory of

Julie De Innocentes
December 31, 1969 - December 31, 1969

Julie Ann Kaeppner De Innocentes, 46, Nineveh, IN passed away April 21, 2010. She was born November 8, 1963 in Columbus, OH. She was a dedicated hospice nurse for Nightingale Home Healthcare (Carmel, IN) and Volunteer Firefighter for Jackson Township Fire and Rescue.

Julie was the dear daughter of John and Rose Kaeppner (West Chester, OH); the loving mother of four boys: Robert Agee (West Lafayette, IN), Nathan Agee (Ft. Polk, LA), Christian and Anthony De Innocentes (Nineveh); the dear sister of: Joan (Thomas) Graham (Carmel), Chris (Jenny) Kaeppner (Cincinnati, OH), Brian (Lauren) Kaeppner (West Chester), and Dan (Jackie) Kaeppner (Cincinnati); and loving aunt to Kayla, Lauren, and Emily Graham; Emily, Charlotte, and Andrew Kaeppner; Mallory Kaeppner, Madeline and Liam Kaeppner.

The most important thing in Julie?s life was taking care of others: her boys and, as a hospice nurse, her patients. Julie took great care of all her patients with love and dedication, sometimes spending all night with them.

Friends and family will gather for visitation on Monday, April 26, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 14598 Oakridge Road, Carmel, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 o?clock in the church followed by a light lunch. You are invited to visit www.leppertmortuary.com where you may sign the online guestbook, leave a memory or condolence for the family, or make a memorial contribution to the Jackson Township Volunteer Fire Dept. Arrangements entrusted to Leppert Mortuary, Smith Carmel Chapel.

"She was a great friend, when you join an organization such as a Fire Department you become part of a family, you get to know everyone and their families and you feel like you are related. Julie used to call me at work all the time and pretend to be a customer making a complaint, I always knew it was her, but I would let her go on for as long as she wanted before I called her out. She was a dear friend, and family member and will be missed dearly. Things that she used to attend that the Fire Dept. does throughout the year will be hard to get through and she will be on all of our minds while we run these events. We will miss her soo much. I will miss her."

"Rosie, John and Family, and especially to Julie's boys,My heart goes out to all of you! Your love and closeness as a Christian family has been an amazing example for so many people. My girls and I have upheld your family in prayer and send our love to you now. It is never easy to lose someone you love, but it is a blessing to know that Julie is with Jesus, and that her life was a shining example of unselfish giving. I will never foget Julie as the flower girl in our wedding or when I spent a week with her after she graduated from high school. It is hard to believe that she is no longer with us, but her life will continue to touch those who have known her. "

Jan Howard wrote on Nov 13, 2012:

"I work at Nightingale Home Health Care. I remember Julie coming in on Wednesday's always with that contagious smile and positive attitude ready to make a difference in people's lives. To be a part of the hospice team meant so much to her. It was so evident that Julie had a huge heart and loved people. I would go to lunch with her and other hospice team members and she was so much fun. Julie was special. I will never forget how beautiful Julie looked at our company Christmas dinner at the Weston. She sat with my husband and I. She absolutely glowed that night. I pray for her family to remain in strong faith and pray that God gives you all the strength to overcome this pain you are all going through at this time. Her family must remember, she is now your Guardian Angel and you can pray to her to intercede to God for you. May God bless you all. "

We were godparents for Julie and we have vivid memories of the baptism: in the basement of the rectory at St. Agnes Church in Columbus. The TV was on in the living room and we were shocked to see Jack Ruby shooting Lee Harvey Oswald. What a day! We know that Julie is enjoying a heaven full of rest and peace!
