"Dear Barbara and Sons:Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. Tom was an amazing man, who will be remembered for the many wonderful things he did in his life. We were there the night he performed CPR on the late Father Boris, prolonging his life at a church dance. The next morning in church Bishop Joseph spoke to the congregation knowing that God had lead Father Boris to the dance, because Tom would be there. Tom was a true gentleman. May you find comfort knowing he is with your father /grandfather Harry, and his own parents. The best part of Tom will live on in you, and your boys."

"Dear Mrs. Garing & Family,My wife Kathleen and our family have held you in our prayers these past two weeks. I had the privilege of meeting Tom through the St. Luke Track Team a few years ago, when Tom was coaching the shot putters. Tom was such a thoughtful man and a quiet leader for the kids. He gave so much of himself, even coming out to all the practices and meets after Evan had graduated from St. Luke, so that his shot putters could learn & improve. I credit Tom for shaping & creating four City Champs in the Shot Put from St. Luke! There is a wonderful sympathy card that reads, "There is no pain on Earth that Heavan can not ease". I know that your husband & father is with Jesus and I hope that this fact helps ease the ache inside that you feel when you think of life moving forward without Tom. He lived well and left a wonderfully positive impact on the many people that had the good fortune to know him. "
