Anita I. Howald, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2010, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on January 10, 1931, the daughter of the late Lester and Beulah Adams. Anita graduated from Shortridge High School in 1949 and married Wayne Howald in November of that year. She was the Vice President of Broad Ripple Heating & Air Conditioning from 1975 until she retired in 1996. She loved to cook and was a talented artist. Anita will be missed by all, but none more than her cherished & devoted sister, Margie. Anita is survived by her daughter Linda Cassity (Craig); son Larry (Gina); sister Margery Waughtel (Doyle); beloved granddaughters Angie Howald Farrell (Scott), Hayley, Mary and Jessi; and many special nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne F. Howald. There will be a gathering in celebration of Anita?s life for family and friends at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 19, 2010 in the Ruth Lilly Library at the Indianapolis Art Center located in Broad Ripple at 820 East 67th Street, Indianapolis, IN. Burial at Union Cemetery in Brazil, Indiana, will follow.
