Kathy Marshall Regan wrote on Nov 13, 2012:

"Janet and my mother were classmates at Shortridge and Alpha Chi Omega sorority sisters at Butler. During World War II, when most of their husbands were way, Janet and my mother, Rosemary Hittle, Marcella Negley, Betty Lu Hamilton and Mary Lib Siegel formed a "sewing circle". I'm not sure how much sewing was done, but they forged bonds that lasted all of their lives. Janet is the last of that band of sisters, and she was a very dear friend to them all. Tad and Boo were at my early birthday parties, and my mother kept up on all your lives through your mother. After my mother was widowed in 1985, Janet picked her up and drove her places, took her to lunch, and checked in on her. Once when my mother was hospitalized, Janet visited and Mother complained she needed a shower. Janet got into the shower with her and washed her. It brings tears to my eyes to remember. She was a wonderful friend. My own memories of Janet are of a sunny, warm, happy woman, vibrant, curious, engaged in life, always impeccably groomed and attractive. I had not seen her since my mother died in 1999 but she sent me notes over the years. I am sure that even at 92, she was too young to go. Love and condolences from the family of Barbara Crise Marshall, on behalf of my sisters, Judy Jabaay and Barbara Kay King, and me, Kathy Regan"

She holds a special place in the hearts of all who knew her, and surely she is now in God's arms. "

"Our family lives in one of the corners of her woods. We will miss her terribly. Mrs Sinnock and Mary befriended our daughter a few years ago. Madi is now 6 and loved to go over to Mrs. Sinnocks to play. Sunday, Madi went over but was disappointed that Mrs. Sinnock had a cold and came home sad. Mary, I know you will be hearing her knock on your door to play soon. Madi would go over and play for hours. She would draw and make stuff. Most days she would come home with drawings and cookies. Mrs. Sinnock was like a Grandmother to Madi and we will miss this. Some days they would walk in the woods and talk. I met Tad years ago at a golf course I worked at. A few years later I moved to a house behind her woods. I met Janet at Orchard Park School while I was voting. She was working the polls. She worked them up until the last election. We would say Hi when she was in the woods picking up sticks or just enjoying the day.We keep this note on our refrigerator.Mark-Thank you for loaning me the flashlight sorry it was so long(Janet walked Madi home in the dark one night)Madi is an angel. I love for her to come over. Thanks againJanetOur thoughts and prayers are with you."
