"Mr. Malarney was a favorite of mine! Always quick with a corny joke or something to make me laugh! A consistent memory of mine is how often I teased him about keeping his house a freezing 48 degrees in the Summertime! Brrrr! He had the gift of a wonderful family and I know that gave him great comfort and joy - in this past year especially. Love to all the Malarney Clan - I will be with you in spirit this week! "Tears of sadness as my best friend, Maribeth, says "Good Bye" to her Father, yet tears of Joy knowing Jim Malarney is now at Peace and welcomed into Heaven by so many great ones who passed before him. You could set your watch by the time Mr. Malarney retired to bed every night while Mrs. Malarney was scurrying around enjoying the chaos & activity. However, his presence was still felt throughout his home, as if he were keeping watch from upstairs. And now Jim Malarney is truly keeping watch over his Family and all while Mrs. Malarney is still scurrying around among the chaos & activity. Growing up, The Malarney home was always full of warmth, shenanigans, laughter and love. It is now, as well, and forever will be. SLAINTE' to James W. Malarney and his Truly Wonderful Life!!!!Love to all the Malarneys, "Brigie" Clarke"

"First, our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to Judy and the family, Tim, Michael, Maribeth and Bridget, and to the whole extended Malarney family. Your "patriarch" has gone to Heaven to watch over you all.Jim and I go back to 1963 when we were Marines in the same company. We became fast friends and I was lucky enough to share some great and memorable times with this exceptional man who lived by his own credos that were of the highest nature. His integrity, loyalty, humor, and sense of justice were sensed by all who have ever known and worked with him or for him. I could write a book about all the good times and the good things that I saw him personally do, as I am sure others who have known him well could do the same. We all share the same sentiment that our world was a better place because of his character. James W. Malarney will never be forgotten by the many who knew him and always be remembered with the highest esteem. Goodbye our dear friend, from my wife Pat and me, and I know Heaven gave you a pass through at the gate. I am sure you and Dave C. have already met and are planning some meetings.Again Judy, our thougths and prayers our with you. God Bless you all."
