"We have known, laughed, shared and loved through many memories with Pinky, as she is known to us. She has been a family friend for over fifty years to my sister, Alicia. With her husband, Jim, gave great comfort to us when Gary passed. We only hope we can return those kindnesses to the Kernodle family."

"I would like to express my deepest sympathies to the friends and family of the Kernodles. I will always recall Saturday nights at the Kernodles, we'd laugh and play deep into the night. All the wonderful vacations that Pinky and Jim and my parents, were able to share. Such memories. My favorite more recent memory of Pinky: Watching her on the floor with all the kids at Christmas. She was the biggest kid there, and such a joy to watch. The Kernodles have been so good to and for my family over the years. We will be there for each other, always. My Favorite CometMy favorite comet, I've watched as you arc'd long and strong across my life's skyHow you glowedI felt comfort and strength from the very sight of youNow, though you move away from me, I still see the bright trail you leave behindI find solace in the fact, that like all comets, you will returnI will watch for your familar glow, my favorite cometThe Olsen family"
