"What a woman!! From freshman year, Mrs. Scheetz always was right there in my corner at speech meets and was relentless in her efforts to make me the best I could be! For four years she stood by me, encouraged me and was single-handedly responsible for thousands of dollars in college scholarships-just because she knew I could. Mrs. Scheetz, thanks for helping me believe in me. I hope I can inspire someone else the way you inspired me. "

"Sandy has left us to be with Jesus. I am so happy for her, but sad for all of us who enjoyed her quick laugh, her stories, her life. Someone said, "Give to the world the best you have and the best will come back to you." Sandy did that with her friends and her teaching for sure.I met Sandy when we moved to Carmel about 37years ago. We had many Newcomers Club get togethers back then, and we always wanted to be in the Scheetz' group because they were so much fun. We would laugh and laugh. Those were good times! Sandy will be greatly missed."

"I am so sorry to hear about Mrs. Scheetz's passing, yet I rejoice in her strong faith and know that Christ has welcomed her into His kingdom. Mrs. Scheetz was my speech coach for 4 years in high school, and I would not be the woman I am today without her. I am so glad to have known her, she was a teacher who truly believed in her students. I will never forget her kind smile, the way she would lean in to give you a compliment, and bless her heart for getting up at 5 am every other Saturday October through January for speech meets all over the state. She had such a gift for listening to her students and I enjoyed seeing her during my school breaks and college. My last memory of her is going to see "Courageous" in the movie theatres and getting lunch at Panera this past October (2011). I miss her very much and to all her family, please know that I am praying for all of you right now. "
