In loving memory of

Sean Rekart Creamer
April 15, 1985 - February 21, 2016

Sean Rekart Creamer, 30, of Indianapolis, Indiana died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, February 21.

Sean was born on April 15, 1985 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Patti (Rekart) and Jim Creamer. Sean was a 2003 graduate of Cathedral High School in Indianapolis where he played baseball and was involved in numerous clubs and activities. In 2007, Sean graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio with a degree in Operations Management and Statistics from Richard T. Famer School of Business.

Sean started his career at Ferguson Waterworks in Columbus, Ohio before electing to return to Indianapolis where he spent several years in the real estate industry. Sean led an active lifestyle and truly valued the time he spent with friends and family. With his ready smile, no one was ever a stranger to Sean for long. An avid outdoorsman, Sean enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and water sports. He spent months backpacking through Europe while studying abroad, as well as hiking Patagonia with friends. Add a passion for cooking and you begin to understand why friends and family loved to have him around.

As an animal lover, Sean rescued a Siberian Husky in 2009 from Northern Lights Sled Dog Rescue and named him Kato; Kato was always by Sean's side, a true man's best friend. Sean recently began volunteering his time at the rescue. Sean loved to be around kids and volunteered at the Nationwide Children's Hospital while in Columbus; his love for nature led him to become a member of the National Geographic Society.

Sean's maternal grandparents, Clyde & Mary Rekart, his paternal grandfather, James J. Creamer and his aunt Mary Ann Creamer preceded him in death.

He is survived by his parents, Patti & Jim Creamer; his sister Lauren, his brother Jimmy (Hannah Curran); his paternal grandmother, Shirley O'Brien Creamer and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and countless dear friends.

"Dear Creamer Family, My sincere and heartfelt condolences for your loss. Sean was a great guy who was always caring and willing to help others out. I never got the pleasure of being able to interact with him much after our days at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, but I remember the kind of person he was back then and whom he grew to be. He was always a fun loving guy who saw the good in everyone and always had a smile on his face. I wish I could of gotten the chance to reconnect with him, but know that his passing is weighing on everyone's mind from old and new friends and know he grew into an outstanding young man. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and with Sean as well."

"I had the privilege of sharing a group table with Sean in Mrs. Murphy's first grade class. One of my (few) memories from that age is getting in trouble alongside him for talking during class, almost daily. Sean was a great, easy friend...always quick to say hello or share a smile in the halls of OLMC and Cathedral. He is loved and missed by many. May God hold you close during this difficult time. "May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind always be at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, May God hold you in the palm of His hand.""

Schaeffer Arnold wrote on Feb 22, 2016:

My thoughts and condolences are with his family and friends during this terrible time. Stay as strong as you can."
