Ann Katherine White
Ann Katherine White, age 84 passed away on February 18, 2014 in Indianapolis, IN, she was formally of Peoria, IL. Both of her parents emigrated from Germany and met at a German club in the states and they were Hugo and Caroline (Mueller) Hoerdemann. She graduated from St. Mark's Grade School in Peoria and attended an Art Academy in Southern California. Ann was a member of the A.B.C. Club, Ivy Club and Proctor Hospital Volunteer League all in Peoria, IL. Ann had worked for Bergner's Department Store and Michaels in Peoria. She loved art and she created silk flower arrangements as well as teaching floral design and art. Ann was a great cook and baker along with an avid reader. She was a loving wife and mother. Her husband, Gerald A. White predeceased her as well as her brother, Harold Hoerdemann. Her loving children survive and they are; Cindy (Greg) Lincoln and Gerald A. White, Jr. Ann's surviving brothers and sisters also survive; Gretchen (Dan) Coogan, Hugo (Doris) Hoerdemann, Caroline (Don) Coonan, Joseph (Lavonda) Hoerdemann, Rose (John) Malloy and Leo (Barbara) Hoerdemann. Family and friends will gather on Monday February 24 from 9:30 to 11:00 am in the Leppert Mortuary, Nora Chapel, and a memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am in St. Luke Catholic Church.
