In loving memory of

Charles Philip Hilger
December 17, 1970 - May 3, 2015

Charles Philip Hilger
aka Chukk, Charlie
Chukk, the son of Philip Douglas Hilger and Diana Adams-Hilger of Westfield, IN and Jean Ann and Jack Roach of Lafayette, IN, was born in Bloomington, IN. He attended grade school and middle school in the Lafayette area and graduated from Anderson High School, Anderson, IN where he played the saxophone in the high school band. Chukk studied computers and radio announcing at IUPUI while working at Indianapolis Wishard Hospital as an accounts payable clerk.
During his adult life, he lived with Freidrichs Ataxia, but his positive attitude never got him down. Taking pride in home ownership in Lawrence, IN, with the degenerative ataxia requiring assisted living in nearby Green Tree Senior Living, then Crown Point in Carmel and finally at his home in Crown Senior Living in Indianapolis.
Always smiling, Charlie was usually seen with his faithful service dog, Daisy. As a result of this loving and supportive relationship, the family is asking that in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to ICAN, a service dog organization, which has very helpful in connecting service dog owners with other ICAN dog owners. www.icandog.org Please put Chukk Hilger on your checks memo line.
