Eddie Leitheiser wrote on May 24, 2016:

"Having met the Vinings in the early 70's, many fond memories spent at Billy and Bobby's house on the lake listening to the jukebox, playing little league and high school football together and helping out once in a while roofing with Bobby, Billy and Mr. Vining. The four of us would tear off a roof by noontime and have it all done by afternoon. I was the 'greenhorn' of course and tried to do what I could just to keep up lol. But to watch the Vinings work ethic on that hot roof always made me proud that they would ask me to help out. I can still remember one time in particular we were taking a break and it's like 98 in the shade, Bobby looks at me and says "momma use to say if your gonna be dumb you better be tough!!" You guys gave me some great memories growing up and I thank you for that. God bless Bobby and God bless you all. Eddie. "

John T Stevenson wrote on May 24, 2016:

"I worked with Bobby for his entire career in the Fire Department and found him to be a man of integrity, of responsible action, and of practical reason. He always reminded us not to be overly concerned with trivia -- "It don't matter!" -- reminding us to only make the important things of life the important things. The last time I saw Bobby, he related to me how he had come to see the importance of having a connection to God. That was quite a few years ago, but I cannot help but to hear his easy-going reminder not to be so concerned with things that don't matter and to only be focused upon those that do."
