Rebecca Irving (Becky Rohret) wrote on Jul 27, 2016:
"I am so sorry. Janet was a wonderful person and close family friend growing up, with a laugh that reminded me of her mom's. I sat right behind Janet and my brother Dan on the same school bus Dan mentions and remember many a rousing card game between Cosgrove and home with Janet and whomever else we could rope into a game. My sympathy to all of Janet's family. Although I haven't seen Janet for years, it sounds as though she lived her life like I remember her."

"Our family wanted to express their condolences in this your time of sorrow. We found this verse encouraging during our time of loss. "Praised be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our trials so that we may be able to comfort others in any sort of trial with the comfort that we receive from God." 2 Corinthians 1:3,4
Jesus referred to himself to as "the resurrection and the life" at John 11:25. You are in our thoughts as well.

"My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. She was a wonderful person. Her family farm was a half mile from ours, and growing up, we would have lots of get-togethers with her family.
She was one of my first friends. We would share a school bus seat for many years. She had a way of making the bus trips seem short. I was fortunate to know her. "

"Her family and many super friends have my prayers and sympathy.
She was a great teacher of math and helped so many struggling students.
I got to know her because my daughter had her for math, and as a cheer leading coach. I was privileged and honored to go with her and the cheerleaders to the state wresting meet one year. She was wonderful to me and the girls.
She always acknowledged those she knew no matter where she was, and I don't believe she was a stranger to anyone. She welcomed everyone. "One of God's special people here on earth" Her smile and friendship will be missed by so many.

"Janet was my first friend when I came to Tipton as a young teacher - she made a point to welcome me. Since then, I have worked with Janet at school but also as members of the CC Stoplight Players. I can't even count the things I learned from her and the way she made my life fuller and brighter. I have never known another person that lived life with the joy and sense of adventure that Janet did - both of which she shared with anyone she knew. So many of my favorites stories have Janet in them - so many of my fondest memories include her. The world is definitely a bit less bright with her gone. We have to remember how lucky we were to share her spotlight."
