Jessie Leask Hunter, 83, passed away June 5, 2006 at Crista Senior Community in Shoreline, WA with the loving support of her family and the nursing staff. She was born April 30, 1923 in Ketchikan, AK, the fifth of ten children to James and Lillian Leask. Jessie is survived by sisters, Alice Demmert and Mildred Donald Newman; brothers, Karl Annelies Leask and Henry Tina Leask; brother-in-law, Samuel Decker, all from Alaska. She is also survived by sons, Rodney Hunter of Winthrop, WA, and Richard Libby Hunter of Corvallis, OR; daughter, Judy Jerry Andrist of Snohomish, WA; six grandchildren, Justin Hunter, Jeremy Bree Andrist, Sean Hunter, Jamey Jeff Boschee, Brandon Megan Hunter and Audrey Nick Fletcher; and three great grandchildren, Zachary Fletcher, Kassandra Fletcher and Madyson Andrist. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert E. Hunter, in 2003, and her youngest son, James Hunter, in 1997. Her life will be celebrated and remembered at a funeral service to be held at Evergreen-Washelli Chapel, 11111 Aurora Ave. N., Seattle, WA on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 2:00 PM. Remembrances may be made to a charity of your choice.
