"Valentina displayed her power point presentation of Pike's Market this evening. I thought how much I miss Seattle and the little home in Ballard next to you and Bill and all the other dear people. Gosh it hurts so much to think that this year nor next year will I be able to share a huge bunch of fresh flowers with you. You always went out of your way to make the girls and me feel so special: it was the least I could do. It was easy to feel happy and carefree when I spoke to you. You brightened up the most serious conversation.... even when you were mad that I had your mail. You were such a generous, funny, lovely lady and friend to me. I will never forget you. "

"Grandma, You are missed terribly. I have many fond memories of you. What I experienced and heard reflected back as well by others is what a positive force you were. I know times weren't always easy for you when I was younger but you always did your best to make them easy for me. You are not forgotten and I think of you every time I pass 75th on 15th. Thank you for being there for me and everyone else. As you would say for many years when I was your only Grandson.. Much love from "Your favorite Grandson," Mike"

"Marge formed our first impressions of Seattle, made us welcome in a new neighborhood. She always had time to chat over the fence, share stories, welcome us in her home, and always, always, ALWAYS smile warmly and laugh infectiously. Generous of heart and nature, she managed to wring more out of every day than anyone we know. We will miss her keenly and offer our deepest condolences to Bill and the rest of her family."
