Berdie treasured her family, friends & adored being a grandma! She enjoyed landscaping, vegetable & flower gardening & was an incredible cook! She loved to decorate for every holiday but especially loved Christmas.

"I've been blessed to call Birdie's daughters my friends since we were teenagers and have been around Birdie many times. She was a complete joy and will be so missed! Her beauty, domestic talents, and smile will live on through Robin and Melanie and their kids! I'm so glad I was able to know her! "

Pat Moberg wrote on May 13, 2016:

"I remember Berdie as my friend Bunny's younger sister in Monroe. I also remember when Berdie was seriously hurt in a bicycle-car accident as a child, and seemingly everyone in town was worried about her. I'm very glad she survived the accident to grow into a beautiful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. I know Bunny will miss her greatly, as her only sister, but I know she has faith that they will ultimately be reunited."

Carol (Gibson) Candler wrote on May 7, 2016:

"Berdie was my best friend growing up. We lived across the street (Madison St.) from each other in Monroe. I will never forget her pretty smile. My prayers to all the family. She was very special!"
