Isabel Neilson Thompson
November 28, 1913 - April 26, 2011

Isabel Thompson, 97, passed away peacefully, with her daughter by her side, on April 26, 2011 in Mukilteo, Washington. She had been a long time resident of Ballard before moving to Mukilteo, ten years ago, to be near her daughter and son-in-law. Isabel was born November 28, 1913 in St. Paul, Nebraska, on her aunt and uncle's farm. She was raised in Grand Island, Nebraska where she attended school and active in many school clubs. She belonged to Girl Reserves, Jobs Daughters (Honored Queen) and active in her church. She graduated from Grand Island High School in 1932 and took a job with Donald Company as a Secretary to the Credit Manager.

During WWII she worked at the War Plant as Secretary to the General's staff. She married her beloved husband Louis Thompson in 1937 and they moved to Seattle where they raised their daughter Kathy.

Isabel worked at the Bon Marche for 25 years as Office Manager and Secretary to the Manager of the Restaurant Food Division. She was a member of the Northminster Presbyterian Church, Occidental Lodge, O.E.S. #28 and P.E.O. Chapter D. Isabel was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Agnes Cunningham, brother Robert Cunningham and her loving husband Louis Thompson of 64 years, who passed away in 2001. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Art Krull of Mukilteo, WA., three wonderful grandsons and their wives, Jon and Diana Krull of Shawnee, Kansas, Steve and Holly Krull of Long Grove, Illinois, Chris and Suzanne Krull of Sycamore, Illinois and seven precious great-grandchildren, Hannah Lucas, Abigail, Samuel, Macey, Nolan, and Kelsey. Niece Roberta Seremeta (John), brother-in-law Blain Thompson and numerous nieces and nephews.

Isabel was a gracious loving mother, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma and friend. Her family gives thanks for the many wonderful years they shared with her. Her warm smile and sweetness, her compassion for others and unconditional love for her family.
