Patricia "Patty" A Gotthelf
May 18, 1928 - October 30, 2016

Patricia Ann Pearson Linxwiler Gotthelf, 88, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2016. Pat was born May 18, 1928 in Winchester, Indiana to the late Marguerite Ryan Pearson and Oakley Pearson. She graduated from Shortridge High School in Indianapolis, IN. Patricia took interest in accounting and worked many careers as a book keeper and office manager, retiring from Wayne Distributing in Indianapolis.

Throughout her life, Pat was a dedicated long-time member of Church at the Crossing where she would sing in the choir and volunteer to count the offering each week.

A kind and loyal mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Patricia spent her life supporting her family and spreading the word of God. She had a passion for gospel music and spent her time cooking large feasts for her family and gardening--both skills she passed onto her six children.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Marguerite Ryan Pearson; Oakley and Ethel Pearson; her first husband Donald L. Linxwiler; her second husband Nathan Gotthelf; and son-in-law John D. Schoenling.

Pat is survived by her children, Donna Schoenling, Beverly (David) Morgan, Bonnie (Bob) Hoffman, Philip (Diana) Linxwiler, Nancy Linxwiler, and Jan (Barry) Jones; step-daughters Linda (Bob Jr) Thrush and Debbie (David) Mennel; sister Lois (Donald) Inman and brother Bud (Jackie) Pearson. She is a proud Grandmother of 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather to celebrate the life of Pat on Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 4-8 PM at Leppert Mortuary - Nora Chapel, 740 E. 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN. Services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 12:00 Noon at The Church at the Crossing, 9111 Haverstick Rd., Indianapolis, IN with calling at the church one hour prior to service time.
