So to not mention me is not okey but I will accept it ...Jackie knows me and how I called to check on her often. "Your strong personality and yet a gentle soul has been a blessing in many, many lives including my own. My heart is heavy, but I know that you are in Gods choir now, he needed your strong voice in the heavenly choir...... I love you and there will never be another Carla! It saddens my heart but yet I know you are where you need to be!!! Bless all of your family and friends to get through yet another devastating loss!"

"Although I never had the opportunity to meet Aunt Carla, reading the moments of reflection left by others allowed a small glimpse into the type of woman she was. I'm sure once she arrived to the entrance of the Heavenly Gates, she was met by God as He extended His hand saying "Well done my good and faithful servant". Our prayers are continuely with the family. Love, Naim and Dequanna Hasan (Mujib's son and daughter-in-law)"

"I have so many thoughts runing through my mind, at this moment. My Sister Carla left us way too soon. As kids we didn't have much of a relationship, but as adults, we became pretty close. We shared Birthday's and loved spending The Holidays with friends and our huge extended Family. My Sister loved Flowers so anytime I could surprise her with a bouquet, she was very happy. Carla was small in Stature, but she was Large in Voice and in Spirit. She loved going to Church, singing in the Choir. She also was involved in the Community, from way back she was part of the South Side Neighbor Center, various Food Pantries, and she volunteered at the Goodman Center. Carla had her struggles, made bad choices, but who hasn't. Sometimes she put other's needs ahead of her own, and worried about people she cared about. That's what makes it so hard to know that she is no longer with us. What I'm most proud of is we were able to be there to help her Transition to parts unknown. I will miss that laugh, and her sense of humor. If you knew Carla you know what I'm talking about. We all will miss you dearly my Sister, just know that you will be forever Loved, by all you have touched. So let me be the first to light your Eternal Flame! Your Brother Darryl"
