EDWARD 'SKIP' DISMER
MUSCATINE, Iowa - Edward 'Skip' F. Dismer, 71, of Muscatine, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at Premier Estates.

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Sharon Phillips of The Jesus Mission will officiate. Burial will take place in Memorial Park Cemetery. Following the committal service at the cemetery a time of food and fellowship will be held at Pearl City Outreach. Visitation will be from 9 until 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 21, 2017, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family in care of Grace Dismer. Edward was born on September 7, 1945, in Kansas City, Missouri, the son of Frank and Wanda Dismer. He married Grace L. Wade on July 20, 1985, in Blue Grass.

He was a US Army veteran and was an Army trumpeter responsible for playing Taps.

He worked for Carver Pump for over 52 years. He enjoyed and treasured the friendships he had at Carver Pump and considered all of them as family.

He was a member of the Jesus Mission, enjoyed playing pool and cards, and he loved playing Nintendo with his family. He loved his family and was a wonderful husband, caring father and grandfather.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Grace L. Dismer of Muscatine; one son, Randy C Rowe Jr. of Muscatine; one daughter, Holly R. Babcock of Muscatine; seven grandchildren, Kayla Reedy and husband, Jared, Shawn Jackson and fiancée, Abby Burger, Kayshia Rowe, DeLeeshia Rowe, Cassandra Rowe, Hannah Chelf, and Adysin Harland; five great-grandchildren, Carson and Cambrie Reedy, GraceLynn Rowe, Elijah McCarty, and Ares Jackson; sisters-in-law, Ruth Black and husband, Doug, Reverend Sharon Phillips, Beth Meredith and husband, Jack, and Carol Wade; and several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother-in-law, Luke Wade; and his mother and father-in-law, Effie and Luke Wade.
