"I heard Amber's story on the Today Show this morning. It was a gripping story as it was, but it really caught my attention when I saw Toledo Blade Blvd. & I wondered if it was in Port Charlotte. You see, my family lived in Port Charlotte 1993-2001. My husband was pastor of 1st Alliance Church and my 3 daughters went to PCHS. WE went to Lemon Bay HS many times for cross country meets. Anyway, as I was looking on the internet to find more information, it suddenly dawned on me that this was the same family that I've been asked to pray for for months in the Prayer Communicator that I receive from our former church. I will certainly be praying for your family now as this has become personal to me and touches this mother's heart. May the Lord continue to comfort, strengthen and guide you each day. I'm thankful that the criminal was caught so that justice can be done and there can be a small measure of closure."

I was wintering in North Port, from Michigan, on the day Denise was kidnapped and I remember that day so vividly. It was a nightmare. I was out to lunch that afternoon and when I returned home all kinds of bulletins were posted on the TV screen. The fact that he was not caught in time to save Denise's life is so disgusting. It was so close and so many people did what they should have to try and capture him. All you have now are your heartfelt fondest memories of Denise. But, no one can take those from you.
