In loving memory of

Sean Cody King
December 31, 1969 - December 31, 1969

Sean "Cody" King

Born June 20, 1984 left us on April 27, 2008. Cody was a shining light in this world. His heart was over flowing with compassion, he was a friend to everyone he met. His brilliant smile, contagious laughter, and warm hugs comforted those around him daily. As a senior nursing student at Edison College he treated everyone with the respect and dignity they deserved.

We will all miss him greatly. Those he left behind are his Mother and Father, Michele and Dennis King, his brother Casey King, of Port Charlotte and by his many relatives and friends. His absence from this world will be felt for a very long time.

Visitation will be held Saturday May 3, 2008 from Noon to 2:00 P.M. at the Kays- Ponger Funeral Home, 2405 Harbor Blvd., Port Charlotte with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 P.M.

Marler Family wrote on Jun 17, 2010:

"We met Cody a couple of years ago and as we got to know him we grew, very quickly, to love him. We thought of him as part of our familyâin our hearts, he always will be. We played together, laughed together, watched fireworks together, went down waterslides together, celebrated Christmas together, watched many movies together, went to the banana plantation together and we saw in him a gentle, caring, generous, smart, fun, wonderful young man. Codyâs legendary fitness was a great inspiration to me. Just being around him made me want to work out a little bit more. We are still stunned and deeply saddened to know that he is gone, but we have a deep faith that there is âsomething moreâ than just this brief time here on earth. We believe that the grace of Jesus Christ means that we can live with hopeâthe hope of seeing Cody again, some day. We hold to that wonderful hope even as our hearts grieve. Our prayers and our most heartfelt sympathies are with Dennis and Michelle and Casey. Please know that Cody made an indelible mark on our lives. Love, Dan, Nadia, Rachel and Taylor Marler"
