Adelaide Dolores Cahill, 87, Englewood, formerly of New York passed away peacefully under the loving care of the staff at The Springs at South Biscayne and Tidewell Hospice on July 18, 2016.
Memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, August 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Englewood. Lemon Bay Funeral Home, Englewood is in charge of cremation arrangements.
Beloved mother of Regina, Ellen, Brian and Shawn; she was predeceased by her dear parents and brother, and her cherished husband of 57 years, Michael.
Adie was born in Brooklyn, New York the oldest of two children to John and Adelaide Smith. She worked as a personal secretary in New York City before marrying and raising a family.
She is also survived by her dearly-loved daughters-in-law, Mabel and Gabrielle; devoted nana to Michael, Daniel, Olivia and Riley.
Adie was a parishioner at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church and for many years volunteered as a Eucharistic minister. Over the years she also volunteered at Englewood Hospital and Loveland Center. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, baking and helping others. We were blest to have her with us for 87 wonderful years.
