In loving memory of

Dr. Nasir Khalidi

The Khalidi family sadly announces the passing of Dr. Nasir Khalidi at age 69 on February 2, 2017.

Dr. Khalidi arrived in Port Charlotte, Florida with his family in 1979. He and his wife Dr. Sakina Khalidi were vital parts of the medical community, and faithfully served and cared for many in Charlotte County. Dr. Khalidi was a distinguished neurologist, a credentialed racing driver, a longtime supporter of citrus agriculture, and a champion of education for all. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Dr. Sakina Khalidi, as well as daughter Umbreen Khalidi-Majeed, son-in-law Farhan Majeed, their sons Rehan Majeed and Zain Majeed, and son Naveed Khalidi, daughter-in-law Aliza Kassim Khalidi, and their children Elaheh Khalidi and Erhan Khalidi.

To honor Dr. Khalidi's strong belief in education for all and in lieu of flowers, the family has created the Dr. Nasir Khalidi Memorial Fund at the Visible Men Academy (VMA) in Bradenton, Florida. Those who wish to contribute may contact Dawnyelle Singleton of VMA at 941-758-7588.

The family will hold a memorial service at the Charlotte Harbor Event and Conference Center at 9am on Sunday February 12. The Center is located at 75 Taylor Street in Punta Gorda.
