Deanna Mae Hambright, 78, of Bennett, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2017 at Genesis West Hospital, Davenport. Friends and family may gather at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton on Wednesday, March 8th from 4:00-7:00 pm for a time of visitation. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 9th at 10:30 am, also at Fry's. Interment will follow at Inland Cemetery, Bennett. Memorials in Deanna's honor may be directed to Bennett Fire and Ambulance. Online condolences may be shared at www.fryfuneralhome.com.
Deanna was born on March 22, 1938 to Charles and Alice (Sothman) Hamann, in Davenport, Iowa. She graduated from Bennett High School with the class of 1956. Deanna married the late Roland "Rhub" Hambright on October 26, 1957, in Bennett. They made Bennett their home where they raised their three children: Jeff, Richard and Jeanne.
Deanna's employment years were spent at Bennett School where she was the Business Manager for 32 consecutive years. After retiring from the school, she worked at all branches of Liberty Trust & Savings Bank. Deanna was a member of Peace Church of Christ United, Bennett Community Club and Bennett School Athletic Boosters.
Surviving Deanna are her children, Jeff (Colette) Hambright of Tipton, Richard (Cindy) Hambright of West Liberty, Jeanne (Kraig) Timmerman of New Liberty; sister, Darlene (Wayne) Hamann of Bennett; brother, Danny (Mag) Hamann of Bennett; sister-in-law, Mary Pat Allmandinger of Walcott; brother-in-law, Rhea (Skip) Hambright of Davenport; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Steve Allmandinger and granddaughter, Alicia Hambright.
