In loving memory of

Alice M. Adams
May 19, 1925 - March 11, 2017

Alice M. Adams of Cairo, NY and Fort Lauderdale, FL, passed away suddenly March 11, 2017 at Broward Health Medical Center at the age of 91.

Alice was born May 19, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Walter and Alice (Cunniff) Reeves. Alice was happily married to Raymond Adams for 62 years. She owned and operated The Alyce Shoppe clothing store in Cairo for many years. Alice also worked at the Bavarian Manor for a number of years. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society at Sacred Heart Church, the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the Greene County Women's League.

During her retirement in South Florida, she attended Saint Sebastian Church and donated her time as a volunteer at the Broward Medical Center for more than 20 years, bringing joy to many people. Throughout her entire life, Alice was a person who put everyone else first and herself second.

Alice always enjoyed reminiscing about all of the wonderful times she had whether it was as a Cub Scout den mother, stories about her son Mark, her trip to Egypt, all of her cherished family and pets over the years and, of course, good times with her countless friends.

Alice was preceded in death by her sister Anne Graszik and her brother Walter Reeves, Jr.

Survivors include her husband Raymond, her son Mark Adams and his fiancée Lisa Lang of Fort Lauderdale, FL, sister-in-law Joanne Reeves, nieces Linda Adamo, Diane Graszik-Pomerance and Dawn Reeves, nephew Walter Reeves and many dear cousins and friends.

Memorial service/celebration of life details will be announced in the spring.

Cremation under the direction of Fred Hunter's Funeral Home, 718 S. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL. Condolences may be left at www.fredhunters.com .
