March 30, 1928 - March 25, 2017

Arlene M. Rinehart, age 88 of Monroe, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Accura West Healthcare in Newton. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the Monroe Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow at Silent City Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 28, 2017, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the church. Memorials may be directed to Monroe Presbyterian Church or The Monroe American Legion Auxiliary and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com
The daughter of William and Marie (Schnathorst) Eilert, Arlene was born on March 30, 1928, in Jasper County, Iowa. She graduated from Newton High School in 1946. On April 30, 1949, she was united in marriage to Clinton Rinehart in Newton. To this union three sons were born, Tim, Monte, and Gary. She lived in Red Rock until 1962, when they moved to the farm south of Monroe. In 1999, she moved into Monroe. Arlene sold Avon for many years. She was also a member of the Monroe Presbyterian Church and the Monroe American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed her family and friends, traveling, shopping and playing cards. Arlene was a loving wife, mother and homemaker.
Those left to honor her memory include two sons, Tim (Bev) Rinehart and Monte (Janet) Rinehart both of Monroe; seven grandchildren, Zachary (Brittany) Rinehart, Chad( Jenny) Rinehart, Danielle Rinehart (Scott DePrenger), Mason (Tami) Wallace, James (Jodi) Wallace, Sydney (Chris) Siedlecki and Spencer (Jessica) Rinehart; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Eilert and many nieces and nephews Preceding Arlene in death were her parents, husband in 1991; a son Gary in 2005; a sister, Margaret Thompson; and three brothers, Don, Roy, and Larry.
