Galen enjoyed outdoor activities like fishing and canoeing, playing cards ("Smoke the queen, smoke the queen!!"), time with family, Iowa Hawkeye sports ("How 'bout those Choke-eyes?!"), a good home-cooked meal, and talking (and maybe even arguing) about political issues.
