Phyllis J. Heilskov
April 30, 1935 - April 4, 2017

Phyllis J. Heilskov, 81, of Hampton, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton. She was born on April 30, 1935, to Arthur and Freda (Mutzel) Behn in Hampton, Iowa.

Phyllis graduated from Hampton High School in 1953. On March 26, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert F. Heilskov. Phyllis was a devout farm wife for many years, a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, LWML, church choir and Acorns to Oaks Mothers Club. She enjoyed golfing, baking, traveling and spending time with her family.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Robert, son Gerry (Sarah) Heilskov of Hampton, son Steve (Peg) Heilskov of Iowa Falls, daughter Susan (Brad) Staley of Hampton, son Scott (Ady) Heilskov of Hampton, twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, brother Merlin Behn of Hampton, sister Rosemary Hruska of St. Louis, Missouri, sister Ruth Palmer of Eldora, sister Janice McLaughlin of Loveland, Colorado, and sister Linda Koentopp of Ft. Collins, Colorado.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sister-in-laws.

"I will never forget one Friday night at the country club meeting Verner and Mary for dinner. I gave Mary a kiss when I aririved and Phyllis looked at me and said--well Peter where's my hello kiss? After that it was a hello kiss for Phyllis also- made me feel really nice that she cared! A lovely person! I will miss her."
