Tara May (Cowen) Konrady
August 26, 1979 - April 2, 2017

Funeral service for Tara will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, April 8 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Spencer. Interment is in Riverside Cemetery, Spencer. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Saturday. Tara passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.

Tara May (Cowen) Konrady, daughter of Donald Cowen and Ruby (Starlin) Cowen was born August 26, 1979 at Cass County Memorial Hospital in Atlantic, Iowa. She grew up in Rembrandt, Iowa, and she attended school in the Sioux Central Community. She also attended Job Corps in Denison, Iowa.

Following her education, Tara gave birth to three beautiful children: Logan, Emily and Andrea. Tara made her home in Spencer, Iowa. She loved to spend time with her children and her cat, Mittens. As a child, she began bowling at 6 years of age; she loved traveling to bowling tournaments with her siblings and parents. Tara enjoyed collecting angels, listening to music, watching scary movies, playing video games and spending time with her fiancé, Scott Olerich.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Logan of Ottumwa, Iowa, Emily and Andrea both of Spencer, her mother, Ruby Cowen of Spencer; father, Donald Cowen (Vangie) of Ruthven; three sisters: Amanda Haack (Nathan) of Emmetsburg, Cora Cowen of Ruthven, Amy Law (Rick) of Sioux City; maternal grandmother, Berniece Ihrke of Atlantic; step-grandmother, Rose Alger of Spencer; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Tara is preceded in death by her brother, Benjamin Place; paternal grandparents Donald Sr., and Katherine (Hoagland) Cowen; maternal grandfathers: LeRoy Starlin and Wayne Ihrke
