"I woke this am with another thought or memory that truly shows his presence from hie beginning was looked upon with light heart'd joy when Freddy Carlson, Cottage Inn would stop what he was doing and focused on Nicky with his calling "Freddy French Fries"!"

"Dan and family. Very very sorry that you lost you precious brother Edward "Nick" I spent a lot of time with Nick in grade school when Nick would come home on weeknds to stay with his Mom and Dad. Your Mom Jean would bring him over to our house. I had a blast playing with Nick as we were about the same age. Your mom and my mom worked together at the turkey plant in Altura. I would think about Nick from time to time because my wife have I a 20 year old son with down syndrome. Trent has been a blessing from God. I regret not keeping in touch with your brother all these years, but after looking at all the pictures it looks as though Nicky was loved very much and had a good life. Again my condolences. Phil and Peg Kalmes. Altura, MN."

"In his young years that belong to his dad and mom, I was always impressed with the love that followed him. How his dad Ed looked upon him with joy as a blessing to behold. His mom kissed each breath he took. A lasting memory that belongs to his special life. Cousin Mary C"
