George Howard Ruggles
November 17, 1932 - April 9, 2017

Age 84 of Forest Lake.
Loving Husband, Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa, passed away on April 9, 2017.

Howard was a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College and The University of Minnesota. He was a lifelong Forest Lake resident and businessman, owning Bob Johnson's Sporting Goods and Hardware Hank. He served on the Forest Lake City Council and was a member of Forest Lake Masonic Lodge #344. Howard was an avid outdoorsman who enjoying being involved with Ducks Unlimited. He also was an active member at Faith Lutheran, once serving on the church council.

Preceded in death by son, Paul; brother; Henry. Survived by wife of 62 years, Ann; children, Peter (Janice Devine-Ruggles), Sue (John) Coy, Thomas (Cynthia), Patricia (Jack) Alberg; grandchildren, Andrew (Sheila), Dorea (Joel), Matthew (Jocelyn), Caitlin, Patrick, Kyle, Joseph, Kelley; great grandchildren; Ottilia, Aria, Lyra, Theodore; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service 11 AM Thursday, April 13th at Faith Lutheran Church, 886 North Shore Drive, Forest Lake, with visitation beginning at 9 AM until time of service. Memorials preferred to Faith Lutheran Church. Interment, Scandinavian Cemetery, Forest Lake.

"I have good memories of Howard, and the smile he would give me when I would ask him what he thought of my hair color. Every month he would come by the salon and get the rent, sometimes he couldn't answer, but we both would laugh. Prayers to all at this difficult time. "
