"I am a daughter of Glendale Grennell Armstrong and I do remember Aunt Ora and Arminda visiting us on the farm nearly every summer that I was still home. I remember them both being so meticulously dressed. Once I graduated from college and moved away, I do not remember seeing them again. Mother spoke often of Arminda and I wished they had lived closer as they aged as they had such fun together. Prayers are with Arminda's family and friends. Alice Armstrong Frechette"

"I always remember Aunt Ora and Cousin Arminda coming to visit in their Volkswagen. My mother, Glendale Grennell Armstrong and Arminda were born in the same year and were quite close."

"Arminda was quite a character. She and my father were first cousins and I cannot remember not knowing her. My earliest memory is of her pulling up in front of my house driving a Volkswagen Karmann Ghia -- VWs were not a common sight in rural Iowa"
