Carol Norquest Dugan. May 10, 1942 - April 7, 2017. Carol Dugan died suddenly on the morning of April 7th at her Indianapolis home. She was born in Richmond Indiana to Donald Andrew Norquest and Catharine Clarke Norquest.

Following World War II the family settled in Decatur, Indiana. In her teen years she was an excellent student but on Friday nights she could be found at the sock-hop dancing to the latest hits. She met and married her love, John Rickwood Dugan, while attending Indiana University. Carol changed her major from pre-dentistry to medical technology, as John entered medical school and they started their family. As the boys grew older Carol worked alongside John at the office. Anne was later raised in the "Family Practice" in Broad Ripple. At the time of her death she was still working two days a week in Jim's office and enjoying countless hours with her beloved youngest grandchild Genevieve.

She was predeceased by her husband. She leaves behind; sons, Michael John(Demaris), James Andrew, and daughter, Anne Marie (Dugan) Skiles (Aaron); grandchildren, Allison Nicole Dugan, Lauren Renee Dugan, Ava Grace Dugan,Zachary James Dugan, and Genevieve Marie Skiles; sister Rita M. DuBois (Michael) brother, James K. Norquest (Julie) and sister C. Lisa Norquest (James Rusine) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Those on her Christmas card list will never forget the over 40 years of handmade ornaments. Carol was proud of her time as a docent at the Indianapolis Museum of Art. Some of her dearest friends were from Bridge Club and multiple Book Clubs. Carol and her cherished friend and beautician Judy always strove to present her with the latest in hair styles.

A calling will be held on Saturday April 15th from 2:00 to 5:00PM at St Luke's United Methodist Church, 100 West 86th Street. The funeral service will follow in Robertson Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in Carol's honor to the Indiana University Anatomical Education Program, Medical Science Building 5035, 635 Barnhill Drive, Indianapolis, 46202.

"Carol, rest in peace knowing that your family, friends and patients will always remember you as a friendly and compassionate person. I enjoyed our years playing bridge and I will think of you as I hang up your "special homemade Christmas cards" on our tree. Barb Iwema"

"Carol was an amazing grandmother and it was clear that nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren. The excitement in Ava and Zach's eyes when Grandma Carol came over was unmatched. Every time Carol walked in the door they would run to see what book, toy or trinket she was bringing (usually purchased at TJ Maxx and with a large McDonalds iced tea in her other hand) Carol will forever be in our hearts. Her strength, intelligence and grace will live on through Ava, Zach and all her grandchildren."
