Dudley Leyland Clarke 78 of Punta Gorda, Florida died on April 9, 2017
Punta Gorda, Florida.

He was born May 8, 1938 in Georgetown, Guyana to James Clarke and Iris
Austin Clarke. He came to the United States in 1973. Dudley attended Moravian
school in Guyana. He played Cricket and soccer for Bookers Sports Club. He
moved to Miami, Florida where he attended school to become an appliance
technician, owning his own business. He loved music and dancing. He will be missed by all who were privileged to know him.

He is survived by his 3 children, Garfield (Galina ) Clarke , Dr. Karen ( Reggie)
Ashby and Roderick Clarke, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also
survived by his brother, Lenox Clarke and his sister, June Gadsden.

Visitation Monday, April 17, 2017 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. with a
Celebration of life service to follow at 2:00 p.m. at Kays-Ponger & Uselton Funeral Home 2405 Harbor Blvd. Port Charlotte, Florida.
